Stephanie Rodriguez
Artist Bio
I am a graphic designer and BFA student in Digital Design with a strong interest in drawing and creating concept-driven work that communicates ideas in creative and meaningful ways. Since 2022, I have been working at Miami Dade College, where I have gained hands-on experience in a professional and educational setting that continues to shape my growth as a designer.
In addition to my academic and on-campus experience, I have contributed to F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Horse Rescue & Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and protection of rescued horses.
Artist Statement
My stencil design depicts a lighthouse shining its beam to reveal hidden pollution
flowing into the ocean. The light symbolizes awareness, exposing the
unnoticed waste that threatens marine life. Trash merges with the forms of sea
creatures, illustrating how pollution is overtaking their habitat. By making this
issue visible, the design encourages people to recognize their impact and
take action to protect our waters.
