Artist Bio
I am Micaela Mezzich, a citizen designer at FIU and an international student from Lima, Peru. My journey at FIU began with a desire to explore design in a global context and broaden my creative perspective. As a citizen designer, I believe in the power of design to address social challenges and drive positive change.
I am particularly interested in social innovation through design, sustainable solutions, branding and visual identity, and illustration applied to design. My skills include proficiency in digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, photography and photo editing, video editing, and experimenting with mixed media and materials.
While living in Peru, I participated in several art competitions and was selected as a finalist, an experience that strengthened my passion for creative expression. This will be the first competition I take part in outside of my country, and I am excited for the opportunity to apply my skills and learn from others.
I aspire to use design to create impactful and meaningful experiences in the future. My passion for design and my commitment to innovation continually push me to keep learning and contributing to an ever-evolving design industry.
