Artist Bio
I’m Elizabeth Hernandez, a graphic design student at FIU with a passion for storytelling and visual communication. I was born in Cuba and moved to the U.S. at seventeen—a transition that both challenged and expanded my creative perspective. With an associate degree in Graphic Arts from Miami Dade College, I am now continuing my journey at FIU, focusing on creating designs that are both thoughtful and impactful.
I am drawn to work that balances creativity with clarity—designs that not only look good but also carry meaningful messages. Whether through color, composition, or typography, I aim to create work that connects, communicates, and feels intentional.
Artist Statement
“Keep It Blue” is a simple yet powerful message I created to help protect our
waterways. Many people don’t realize that storm drains lead directly to rivers, lakes,
and oceans so anything thrown in them, like trash or chemicals, can seriously
pollute our water. Through this message, I want to remind others to keep drains
clear of litter and pollutants. Together, we can keep our water clean, blue, and
safe for everyone.
