I’m a citizen graphic designer at Florida International University. In collaboration
with the City of Miami, Ocean Conservancy, and Shores Forward, I created a storm drain stencil to raise awareness about ocean pollution. The phrase “Who came first? The plastic or the fish?” highlights the growing presence of plastic in marine life and its impact
on people who eat seafood. A bottle shaped like a fish symbolizes pollution’s
effect on aquatic ecosystems.
