Artist Bio
My name is Genesis De Los Santos, and I’m a Graphic Design student at Florida International University. I grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved to Florida three years ago. I have a strong passion for design and its ability to communicate powerful messages.
My interests include advertising, product design, and poster design, where I enjoy creating visually compelling and impactful work. I’ve also had the opportunity to collaborate with Yspaniola, contributing my design skills to meaningful projects. As I continue to grow as a designer, I strive to blend creativity with strategy to craft designs that leave a lasting impression.
Artist Statement
My stencil design uses a bold, vibrant color palette cyan and pink or orange and
pink to create a striking visual impact. Featuring the Spanish phrase “La Basura
NO Pertenece Aquí,” the design shows a sea turtle surrounded by trash, reminding
viewers that pollution harms marine life. It encourages people to keep streets clean
and protect sea animals. Through this piece, I hope to inspire a sense of responsibility and pride in preserving Miami’s environment
